Sometimes they startle, look around, and then raise their hand tentatively. Over here, boaters wave at each other, so do motorcyclists and truck drivers. Otherwise, better not make too much eye contact or you could get shot. Just kidding :D (or not.) By the way - have you taught your grandson how to get truck drivers to pull their air horn?
