I’m a big fan of Weird Al Yankovic (you too?) and can also appreciate the unique talent of Eminem (–hold your fire!). Ever since his first hit “My Bologna,” Weird Al has gotten better over the years, parodying everyone from Don McLean, Queen, Nirvana, Michael Jackson, to Chamillionaire, and of course the usually glib and free-flowing rapper Eminem. And I finally saw Weird Al in concert at the Orange County Fair in 2007. Very entertaining.
The following video just cracks me up because it pairs him with Eminem in an “interview” and it’s so typically Weird Al, you know what I’m sayin’?
Do you have a favorite Weird Al song or music video? How about Eminem? Seriously though, is it wrong to love them both? (Will you still respect me in the morning?)

I know it’s shallow of me, but i’d love to take my electric razor to Al’s head. I just can’t get past that hair….

I know what you’re sayin’. But he wouldn’t be Weird Al without that hair. Just like Phyllis Diller’s signature wind-blown look.

What’s going on?
I’m still in the elevator!
The buttons don’t seem to be working.

Heheheh. I have a few elevator stories myself. Suffice it to say for now that elevators really do have malevolent intentions. Some things are simply not coincidences.

I like Eminem’s music. My favorite is “Lose Yourself” but I like several others quite a bit too.
I don’t as much like Weird Al, but I am entertained by his songs. I find what he does very creative and can appreciate it. I remember “Eat It” based on MJ’s “Beat It” quite well from back in the day. I thought “Amish Paradise” was hilarious.

Yay! Another person who listens to Eminem! I like that song “Like Toy Soldiers” that has the original Martika version mixed in.
After I saw the 8 Mile movie, I was in the theater restroom with 2 ladies who were in their mid-60′s. No lie — one of them says, “I like that Eminem guy. He’s cute in a Bad Boy kind of way.” (I almost fell off the toilet!)
As for Weird Al, the “Fat” video (MJ’s “Bad”) always makes me laugh. (see link)
