Hello It’s Me – Todd Rundgren
Yikes – is summer already over? I must’ve blinked because last time I checked, we just launched it with the Memorial Day weekend post. Oy vey. That reminds me, for our Jewish friends, Happy New Year on September 18!
Anyhoo, having been off-line for a few months, I truly miss y’all and am now easing back into bloggyland. So whether you like it or not, I’ll be visiting your sites and will be commenting unabashedly once again.
Stand by for my goofy/dorky remarks. (I apologize in advance; thank you for your forgiveness.)
And heads up – I’ll start blogging again in November, but probably just twice a week at the most. People, I am one tired mo-fo. I work my arse off all week long (mind you, with a 10% salary cut thanks to the ratbastards City of L.A. gods). Oh and I’m in school till 11pm on some nights. Yes – P.M.
But if you’re planning on burglarizing my house because you THINK I’m not home that night, plan on meeting Mister .45 Cal, and my favorite Rambo knife, nun-chucks, Trixie the Anti-Terrorist Catfighter, and the ol’ knee-to-the-groin-maneuver. And we will film Saw VIII when you show up.
Whew! I don’t know what just happened there. What a stress-reliever that was, just to envision what I’d do to some knucklehead, given the opportunity. It felt better than yoga. Okaaay…must think good thoughts now.
I just wanna give some shout-outs to friends, new and old, for checking on me here the last few months. I really appreciate all of you for taking the time to leave comments. Let’s go Romper Room-style with some acknowledgements:
And I seeee… Wizard of Otin, Cool Stuff For Dads.com, The Constant Complainer, Alantru, Betty, San Diego Realtor, and Hairball (who was on blog-hiatus with me but started up again – but I didn’t know, so all that time I was drinking Mai Tais all by myself on the hammock – click here for comment thread about that).
So everyone – GROUP HUG please. And no copping a feel! Thanks for stopping by and also tell me that you haven’t let yourself turn into an old fogey while I was gone. (Ugh, and I REALLY need to work on getting rid of my cellulite and folds.)

Marissa – Love your beach attire! Looking forward to hearing about your latest and greatest adventures!
You know summer is over when you walk into COSTCO and see Christmas trees and decorations and then you buy one!

Joe:
I’ll be back in early November, just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of …Sesame Street! See you around on your blog.
Carpe Diem:
Hey, good to see you here! I laughed out loud about your Costco purchase. Jeez, it’s that time already? I better get my champagne ready for the New Year celebration. 2010 – here we come!
Otin:
Only temporarily. So hold off on your James Brown impression, “I feel GOOD!” Oh alright, go ahead and dance like him. You’re a very good friend.
Mango Girl:
I can answer more questions too. Such as, “Are bloggers crazy for devoting so much time and energy to their…um, art?” Answer: Why yes, they are.

Hey, I don’t know what happened to my CommentLuv plug-in. Commentors with blogs should be showing their last blog post at the end of their comment.
This is exactly what happens when one neglects her blog. Now I gotta be a blog mechanic over the next couple of days. Waaahh!

Hang in there and try to get some rest!

Marissa, nice to see the post and good update. Do you think I should look for a similar t-shirt for guys? Not sure that would be cool though!

// Sep 1, 2009 at 7:56 am
Reforming Geek:
Yep, I worked hard to get my body shirt in shape for the summer.
Jim:
I was actually wondering if there was a muscle chest t-shirt for guys. Maybe an exposed, tanned torso with jeans at the bottom edge of it would be cool, if it’s worn with jeans. I’ve seen the tuxedo one.

Thanks! Your comments around the blogosphere always crack me up too. Speaking of laughs, what happened to Betty’s Big Bad Blog? Can’t get in. Maybe she locked me out (tee hee).
And the cover-up I was wearing, dang, did I NOT fool anyone?? I thought it looked like the real deal. Next time I’m going to photoshop it.

Constant Complainer:
Thanks. I’ll be posting regularly in a couple more months.
Grannyann:
Thanks for your post. I will forward it on. READERS – check out the link above. And more importantly, let others know how something as simple as selecting common American products over foreign-made ones (that are often inferior) CAN make a difference.
This is my comment on Grannyann’s post:
“Thanks Ann for posting this. I often look at where products are made and specifically look for Made in USA labels. And with all the recent problems with products made in China (lead in toys, toxic dog food, etc), I hope more people pay attention.
American manufacturing workers are well-trained and they make quality products that meet government standards.”

I used to have a t-shirt that looked like a tuxedo. I think yours is a better idea though. We were just talking about cool t-shirts the other day and I brought this up. Now, if I could only find a “Cut me, Mick” Rocky t-shirt. LOL.

Missed you lots. Look forward to November when you will return to blogging weekly again.
I know what you mean about the time. I am having the hardest time keeping new posts flowing at my blog. Trying my best, but getting 2-3 new posts per week seems like the best I can do.
I am able to use Twitter a little more often in small bursts of 80s info. You should look me up on there. I am OldSchool80s.
Take care of yourself and look forward to hearing more from you soon! Peace and much love.

Hey Otin, Old School, and Constant Complainer, et al:
Is it NOVEMBER already?? Jeebus, where did the year go? I’m temporarily off-line to deal with too many things to mention here (and would thus bore you to tears).
I appreciate all your awesome support and I’m enjoying reading everyone’s blogs, but sometimes I’m, um, unable to come up with any good comments. Dang it – I think I’m losing my mojo. (Like I ever had it.)
But I can’t let this one momentous event go by without saying – Happy 40th Birthday to Sesame Street! *tears of joy streaming down my youthful face*

There’s only one thing that would make me feel better — if all the guys walked around wearing this shirt:
